The Centrally Actuated Release Mechanism (CARM) also referred to as a Concentric Slave Cylinder (CSC) has been with us in the UK since 1994. Replacements are fast becoming an everyday occurrence with fitmaent on new vehicles currently being built in europe approaching 1 in every 2.

It is important that the CARM unit is replaced at the sametime as the clucth assembly - it performs exactly the same function as a normal release bearing
